Better than a slowroll

I'm sitting in the 5 seat and a local to my right comes back with a visually appealing dish which he starts eating at the table. I ask him what it is and he gruffly replies "What's it look like?"

Hmmm, I have no idea and just say "Sorry for asking."

Shortly thereafter, he moves to the 2 seat, and about an hour later he is all-in against the 9 seat who calls. Shithead shows a set of 8's while the 9 seat tables 64 for a straight. Shithead gets up and leans forward as he has trouble discerning the winning hand at the opposite end of the table.

"Is that a straight?" he asks.

"What's it look like?" I chime in without missing a beat.

If I were at the table, I would have been laughing in his face. Did he catch the irony? Often a-holes like that are too self-absorbed.

There undoubtedly is a lot of garbage sitting at the tables. I don't let them get to me too much, but I have a very long memory. Here it only took an hour, but I have been known to wait months and even years for the right opportunity to exact payback.

Excellent set up and response. I'd bet there was more than one smirk at the table!

Alternate version of post:

I'm sitting in the 5 seat and a local to my right comes back with a visually appealing dish which he starts eating at the table. I ask him what it is and he gruffly replies "What's it look like?" I replied "It can't be crap because it is going in, not coming out, a butthole." : o )

going to add this to my blogroll, it belongs on there with about 30 others blogs on there.

anyway the sidebar says u currently live in a shelter for the homeless? how up-to-date is that? probably not recent.

anyway how does a shelter get people back into their own housing? the huge problem for almost everyone is all the extra expenses u must pay upfront, and all the weekly places being like TWICE the monthly rent costs. what do u know about extremely cheap safe housing options as far as private sleeping rooms with fridge for $100 or less by the week, or apts for $300 or so a month thats still private and safe? where the landlord dont make it difficult to be allowed in?

rooms in basements or attics or garages work, im not picky, but i do care a great deal about the fact i must not be around the homes occupants or other tenants, in other words i need my own private entrance where i never need come in contact with others

sevencard2003, thank you for adding me to your blogroll, I have done the same. As for your other questions, all I can say is that I exercise a healthy dose of poetic license in my blog, and others better informed than I have already given you the answers in your blog.
